Here are the facts…

  • 4 professionals of color organizations collaborated to plan and host the event: NABA, NSHMBA, ALPFA and ASCEND.  These organizations are led by volunteers only!
  • 18 private and public companies provided sponsorship to support the mission
  • 68 local organizations and individuals donated over 100 items and services to support the silent auction to raise scholarship funds for minority students
  • 3 Community/Corporate Executives donated their personal time and talent to support the live auction to meet our scholarship goals
  • 1 Singer/Songwriter & Music star donated her music talent and private performances to support the cause
  • 200 attendees from a variety of professions, backgrounds, cultures showed up, networked, dined, celebrated and donated

The results are in….$20,000 in scholarship funds raised!

Mission accomplished?  We’re half way there…

  • Celebrate  Twin Cities professionals of color and promote greater integration
  • Establish a legacy fund to build a pipeline of minority professionals to join the corporate community and address the gaps of minority representation and achievement in the Twin Cities
  • Support minority undergraduate and graduate students to pursue academic careers in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Tax, Consulting and Information Technology
